Welcome to my Astronomy page.  I've had an interest in the night sky since I was five, when my Dad built a pair of telescopes from WWII surplus optics.  I can still recall my Dad taking me to a local ball field to see Sputnik pass over when I was seven.  But it wasn't until 1992 when I was rooting through my attic and came across Dad's scopes that my interest was renewed.  The first object that I aimed the scope at happened to be Saturn.  I was immediately hooked.

Astronomy draws people from all walks of life.  The hobby can be whatever you want it to be, only limited by your interest and your budget.  You can do as our ancestors did and admire the heavens with just your naked eyes, you can look upward with a cheap pair of binoculars or you can invest a fortune.  Whatever floats your boat.

On these pages I'll give you a brief tour of the equipment I use and some of the photos that I've taken.  It's a fascinating hobby.
