M104, commonly known as the Sombrero Galaxy due to its shape, is approximately 55,000 light years across and lies 28 million light years from earth in the constellation Virgo.  This photo of M104 was taken with an unmodified Canon 20d through my 7" f9 Astro-Physics telescope.  It's a combination of three, 2 minute exposures at iso 1600.   Processing was done with Images Plus and Photoshop.
